Arizona Road Trip (Part 10)

Day 6: Last Day in Tuscan/Marana Area

After hiking at Saguaro we headed back to the Days Inn & Suites to see if the pool felt warm enough to swim with the warmer weather… sadly, it was not even close to a comfortable temperature. The hot tub was frequented and toys were played with outside mostly. We were a bit disappointed, but made the best of things. You really can’t complain when the sun is shining down the way it was.

The afternoon sun made us hungry (really, we are just always hungry) so we decided to look up a new location for our evening meal. Mr. HHH picked Nana’s Kitchen. This restaurant has one of our favorite types of food: Authentic Mexican Food!

I don’t think we could recommend a restaurant in Arizona more than this one as of yet. Not one of the places we went to on our vacation compared to this. Our service was extremely friendly and the raspberry margaritas and food are on point. From the refried beans and salsa to zucchini vegetable mix – it was all delicious. Oh, and definitely make sure to try their flan if you are ever in the Tuscan area! We split the vanilla and almond amaretto Flan. This dessert is so smooth and flavorful. In the end the vanilla got the vote for best, but neither one was a bad choice. We plan to stop in again if we are ever back in Tuscan. Nothing on any of our plates was bad.

We had time to relax and watch a movie before bed. Knowing our vacation was almost over we soaked in any time we had left. This was a fantastic finish to our evening considering how busy we had been keeping ourselves.

Do you tend to keep yourself extremely active and busy when on vacation? Or do you prefer more of a slow moving pace when you travel? I’d love to hear. If you haven’t noticed, we tend to keep it busier, especially with kids along.

Thanks for reading,

HHH
